Lincoln’s overall February US sales were down 7.5% despite a 3% overall increase in retail sales. As per usual, Lincoln’s pecking order sales-wise was the MKZ, followed by the MKC, followed by the MKX, all of which posted four-figure sales in a month that is notoriously rough for the automotive industry.

The MKZ led the way with 1,834 sales, down 39.8% year-over-year. To date, the MKZ has posted sales totaling 3,664 units, down 29.1% from the first two months of 2014.

The MKX managed sales of 1,135 units, but it was down more than 40% for the second consecutive month. Customer anticipation for the redesigned 2016 MKX may be a contributing factor to the MKX’s down numbers.

Across the board, both for February and to-date, Lincoln’s lineup is down but for two shining examples—the all-new MKC and the Navigator.

2015 Lincoln MKC

Lincoln delivered 1,558 MKC crossovers in February, which marks its 10th month on the market. While not its strongest showing by any measure—1,558 units is the lowest total since the MKC’s third month on the market—the MKC brings its to-date total to 3,160 units and sits firmly behind the MKZ as the brand’s second-most popular option.

The Navigator was up big once again in a month where consumer tastes tend to lean toward large SUVs and pickups. With 862 deliveries, Lincoln nearly doubled sales of the Navigator from February 2014, putting up the SUV’s best total in at least five years.

To date, Lincoln sales are up 1.2% with 12,783 units delivered throughout America.
