These days, you’re clearly not working to your full potential as a luxury auto maker if you aren’t doing promotional work in the fashion industry. Lincoln got the memo, and as such, they sponsored the 2015 Fash Bash®. However, there was a bit more to it than simply showing Lincoln vehicles next to guys in expensive suits.

The Fash Bash is an annual fundraiser that benefits the Detroit Institute of Arts, and Lincoln used the opportunity to show off its Black Label theme. Lincoln Black Label is the new ultra-luxury trim that graces the 2015 Lincoln MKZ and MKC and 2016 MKX, and its materials have been utilized in multiple art/style installations around the country.

For Fash Bash, Lincoln was the title sponsor of the Lincoln Black Label Afterglow, a fundraiser-ending party that featured the appearance of a 2016 Lincoln MKX bearing a Black Label theme known as “The Muse.”

“The Muse is inspired by the arts and lifestyle scene of 1920s Paris, so we anticipate it will resonate very well with the Fash Bash attendees,” said John Emmert, Lincoln group marketing manager. “The arts are very much a passion point for the Lincoln brand, and we’re pleased to lend our support to this important and worthy event.”

The 2016 MKX arrived at dealerships in June, and since that time, it has resulted in a considerable uptick in sales for the model over its sales from 2014.
