Lincoln Teams with CLEAR

In conjunction with Wednesday’s reveal of the 2019 Nautilus—the seafaring-in-name-only SUV replacing the MKX starting next summer—Lincoln announced a new collaboration with CLEAR, provider of a means to bypass long lines for airport security by way of biometric information. The partnership will see Lincoln customers on the receiving end of complimentary CLEAR membership, which will enable them to skip the line at more than 30 airports and arenas throughout the country.

“Our clients tell us time is their ultimate luxury,” said Lincoln President Kumar Galhotra. “So we’ve paired our exceptional vehicles with world-class services in collaboration with CLEAR to enable them to travel along their journey even more effortlessly and efficiently.”

“We are thrilled to be part of Lincoln’s vision to enhance its clients’ lives in new and exciting ways,” said CLEAR CEO Caryn Seidman-Becker. “There is a natural fit between our shared focus on making travel simpler at every step along the customer journey.”

The program, set to launch in January, will provide new Lincoln owners with a complimentary six-month membership and Lincoln Black Label customers with a complimentary year of membership.

Lincoln also revealed that it is renaming its Chauffeur pilot program to Lincoln Personal Driver and making it available for customers in Dallas. Dallas is the third market, following successful launches in Miami and San Diego, to offer Lincoln Personal Driver, which provides Lincoln owners with the option of having a trained driver run errands during work hours or when otherwise occupied.

“Research shows us that luxury customers are using services like Lincoln Personal Driver in their daily lives,” said Galhotra. “We take it one step further by allowing our owners to use this service with their own vehicle, on their own time, and for a number of tasks to make their experience as effortless as possible.”

Lincoln will also launch a vehicle subscription service pilot in California next year that will be built on the foundation set forth by Ford Credit’s Canvas service. Through the pilot, customers can choose a month-to-month vehicle subscription that includes essentials like insurance, maintenance, roadside assistance, and vehicle pickup and delivery.
