Lincoln has announced that it will be the first brand in the automotive industry to incorporate Now cards into its in-vehicle infotainment system.

Now cards are a part of the Google app (available on Android smartphones) and use your calendar and history to deliver information pertinent to your world. Through Now cards, you can get the latest news and weather, access television and music, and learn about ongoing and upcoming events in your area.

Through the MyLincoln Mobile app, drivers can connect through an embedded modem found within the 2015 Lincoln MKC and MKZ and the upcoming 2016 MKX, and use Now to remotely start, lock, or unlock their vehicles. Now also enables scheduling remote starts so that your cabin is warm and toasty when you need it to be.

“Delivering unique experiences for the luxury client throughout ownership is fundamental to Lincoln,” said Matt VanDyke, Director, Global Lincoln. “By innovating with leading tech companies, we have an opportunity to personalize the ongoing interaction between the customer and the vehicle.”

The MyLincoln Mobile app also allows for vehicle location via built-in GPS and lets drivers monitor their fuel, battery, and tire pressure.
