Lincoln sales in November declined 2.4% year-over-year with a total of 7,918 units delivered. November was, however, a surprisingly productive month for the brand’s sedans, both of which posted a double-digit year-over-year increase.

The Lincoln MKZ had a rare month of year-over-year gains with 2,325 units sold. Lincoln revealed the next-generation 2017 MKZ earlier in the month at the 2015 Los Angeles Auto Show, and while the current-gen model remains the brand’s top seller, its numbers will likely increase exponentially with the release of the new model next year.

The MKS, which is destined to be replaced by the new Continental, posted a 15.8% year-over-year increase thanks to 520 deliveries. On the whole, Lincoln Cars were up 11.8% in November, but they are down 11.7% through 11 months.

Lincoln Utility sales were down 8.9% in November, due largely to the spike in sales for the new MKC and Navigator in November 2014. Both models were down double-digits, and 17.5% growth from the new MKX and 11.5% growth from the MKT was not enough to offset those losses.

Through 11 months, Lincoln sales total 90,367 units, up 6.6% year-over-year.
