In the 2015 Five-Year Cost to Own Awards, Kelley Blue Book determined that the best luxury brand in the business today for long-term value is none other than Lincoln.

On the heels of a resurgent 2014 and a red-hot January, KBB’s experts chose Lincoln for its superlative combination of affordability and reliability, factoring in everything from insurance rates and depreciation to assumed costs for fuel and repairs.

A surprise winner in this year’s luxury-brand cost-to-own race, Lincoln bested all luxury competitors on the basis of highly competitive pricing and a resurgent product line with interesting new vehicles like the Lincoln MKX midsize SUV, a winner in its class, and the smaller MKC compact crossover. Those well-equipped, nicely priced luxury SUVs, aided by help from the venerable Lincoln Navigator, were among the reasons the Lincoln Motor Company emerged as the 5-Year Cost-to-Own leader as a luxury brand for 2015.

Additionally, the 2015 Lincoln MKX was named the Best Luxury Mid-Size SUV/Crossover, earning points for its sub-$40,000 starting price and improved fuel economy from the standard 3.7-liter V6. The likelihood of slashed prices to make inventory space for the all-new 2016 MKX also factors in to the award.
