Buick enthusiasts from everywhere will be gathering this Memorial Day Weekend in Long Island.

Buick enthusiasts might want to take a trip to New York this Memorial Day Weekend if they want to attend the Long Island Buick Chapter’s 35th Annual Car Show.

Buicks of all ages and models are welcome, and admission is free for spectators. The event will take place at the Wantagh Train Station from 9am-4pm. Peer judging will go on from 11am-2:30pm, and the winner will be presented with an award at 3pm.

The event sounds like a lot of fun. It will feature a DJ to supply music, a food truck to fill stomachs, and, of course, plenty of Buicks for everyone to view, gawk at, and share stories about.

The Buick Motor Company was the first car manufacturer held by General Motors after GM was founded in 1908 by William “Billy” Durant. Buick has produced numerous classic cars throughout the years, including the 1965 Riviera GS, 1987 GNX, 1950 Roadmaster, 1970 GSX, and 1983 Century – just to name a few.

It’s not known which particular Buick models will be on display since the show is open to all Buicks, but hopefully a classic Grand National will make an appearance.

The Long Island Car Show will also feature Madison’s Smoothies Café as a vendor and Mothers Against Drunk Driving will be in attendance to spread their message.

Remember to have a great Memorial Day Weekend, enjoy your automobiles, and don’t forget to honor our troops!
