Luke Evans Goes For a Spin with Audi in LA
This month, another one of Hollywood’s brightest stars teased us by getting behind the wheel of an Audi vehicle. Welshman Luke Evans, also known as Gaston in Beauty and the Beast, Owen Shaw in the Fast and the Furious franchise, and Bard in The Hobbit series, posted a photo on his public figure Facebook page driving an Audi in Los Angeles. According to the photo caption, it was the luxury Audi S5 model and Audi USA loaned it to him directly.

This is not Evans’s first brush with the Audi brand, as he recently attended the Audi Polo Challenge earlier this year. When Girl On The Train, another movie he starred in, premiered in theaters last October, he was interviewed by the brand’s Destination: Audi team about his personal preferences. For the record, he prefers London over LA and is more of a rebel than a rule keeper. In the interview he was also asked if he preferred driving or being driven, and when he said he preferred driving he referenced the thrill of driving the Audi R8 and SQ5 and said that he had attended the opera and ballet with the German car brand.

Since Luke Evans clearly has a relationship with Audi, we really want to know when he will be in commercials for the brand. Audi has played this game before, inviting celebrities to drive their vehicles and attend their events without really using the stars in promotional material. Last year, we were all practically begging Audi to use Outlander’s Sam Heughan in a commercial after he took a photogenic road trip in an Audi through California’s Big Sur. Just imagine how much more publicity they would get if they actually had these celebrities in their commercials.
This could legitimately be an Audi ad.
