Maven Gig Brings Millennial-Friendly Money-Making Opportunities to Australia
Residents of Sydney and Melbourne now have a new means for getting around and making some extra scratch with the launch of Maven Gig, which brings General Motors’ ride-sharing personal mobility service to Australia in earnest following the introduction of the Maven Campus pilot program that has been in place at GM Holden Headquarters in Port Melbourne since 2016.
Supporting the launch of Maven Gig will be the Holden Astra, Trax, and Captiva, all available to rent at a rate of $215 a week. These vehicles can also be used to support freelance gigs for other ride-sharing and food delivery services, including UberX and UberEats.
“Maven Gig provides gig drivers access to vehicles for an all-inclusive rental rate starting at just $215 dollars per week. We offer drivers the peace of mind of unlimited kilometers, service and maintenance, comprehensive insurance, and roadside assist with the latest technology in some of Holden’s top of the range vehicles,” said Matthew Rattray-Wood, General Manager of Maven Australia.

Rattray-Wood also added that there are plans in place to bring Maven Gig to other Australian cities in the future. At present, there are more than 350 members of Maven Gig, 37% of whom are age 30 or younger.
