Mazda Named Best Car Manufacturer in Which? Awards
In the 2014 Which? Awards, Mazda took home the title of Best Car Manufacturer. The annual awards determine UK customer favorites for everything from banking brand and insurance provider to supermarket and computing brand.
Mazda took home the award over Audi, BMW, Honda, and Skoda, marking the automaker’s second win and first since 2008.
“To be recognised by such a respected independent organisation as Which? is testament to the success of our convention-defying approach to creating and marketing cars,” said Mazda UK Managing Director Jeremy Thomson.
“Our innovative fuel-saving SKYACTIV technology offers Mazda buyers the best of both worlds: big-engine performance and small-engine economy. As emission-based car tax systems in the UK are destined to become ever more strict, our fuel-efficient, low-emission vehicles will continue to save consumers money, while ensuring a thrilling driving experience.”
In the 2013 Which? Car Survey awards, the Mazda MX-5 was named Britain’s most reliable new sportscar. Mazda recently announced that 75 percent of its allotment of 25th Anniversary Edition Mazda Miatas would be sold in the UK.
Which? Magazine was founded in 1957 and now has over 617,000 subscribers in the UK.
