Mazda red cross donation

Mazda and the Mazda Foundation have a long history of donating funds and vehicles to the Red Cross, and as Hurricane Harvey continues steamrolling through Texas and the Gulf Coast, Mazda has decided to do so again.

The Mazda Foundation and Mazda North American Operations (MNAO) together donated $100,000 to the American Red Cross Hurricane Harvey Disaster Relief Fund.

Mazda North America and the Mazda Foundation are already partners with the Red Cross, with MNAO being a $1 million member of the Red Cross Annual Disaster Giving Program. This means that Mazda makes donations throughout the year to ensure that the American Red Cross has what it needs to react to disasters, no matter the size.

In a press release, Mazda stated, “As remnants of Hurricane Harvey continue to threaten Texas and the Gulf Coast with torrential rain and extremely dangerous flooding, many Mazda employees and dealers, their families, customers and friends have been directly impacted by the storm. As the threat continues, organizations including the American Red Cross are working hard to provide safe shelter and comfort for the hundreds of thousands of people impacted by this disaster.”

In the same press release, Mazda encouraged readers to make personal contributions to the American Red Cross Hurricane Harvey Disaster Relief Fund and provided a link to the relief fund donation website (like what we are doing right here).
