Before we say anything else, let’s get excited for this special edition Mazda MX-5 Miata: the Arctic.

Now, let’s calm down for a second, because this model is a UK exclusive that is only available in limited quantities.

In any case, though, it is very nice to be able to look at, as this special edition takes the normal soft-top Miata and combines a sleek and shiny blue paint job (unavailable in the US) while replacing much of the model’s normal gloss black trim pieces with silver pieces to create an icier look. That replacement isn’t just a few bits here and there, either—even the windshield surround, mirror caps, wheels, and headrests are changed to silver.

Under the hood is another aspect of the car not available to buyers stateside: a 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine—the US-spec models come standard with a larger and stronger 2.0-liter engine. This is paired with the equipment of the Grand Touring trim level, including heated leather seats and rain-sensing wipers (good options for a winter-themed special edition).

If you are one of the lucky few Mazda buyers in the UK and want your own Arctic Miata, then you should probably jump on it, as the Zoom Zoom brand is only planning to build 400 of these blue-on-silver roadsters.
