Bisimoto Engineering’s First CUV is the Most-Powerful Tucson Ever

Hyundai is once again teaming up with Bisimoto Engineering for the annual SEMA Show, and the duo has revealed its entry for 2015: the most powerful 2016 Hyundai Tucson ever built. It’s even got a sufficiently powerful name: “Brute Ute.”

Hyundai and Bisimoto will debut Brute Ute on November 3rd at 11:30 am during the automaker’s 2015 SEMA press conference. The Brute Ute takes the Tucson’s 2.4-liter Theta-II engine and adds flex-fuel capabilities, turbocharger, and a new engine management system. The end result: more than 700 horsepower.

“The 2016 Tucson was the perfect platform for this year’s build, offering me the opportunity to captivate a wider audience by tapping into the growing popularity of the CUV market,” said Bisi Ezerioha, owner and chief engineer, Bisimoto Engineering. “After hundreds of hours of testing and developing new engine components, we’re confident that this power plant can handle what we’re asking from it, delivering a fresh, race-bred take on the 2016 Tucson with performance and reliability at its core.”

Bisimoto’s upgrades include those of both the mechanical and aesthetic variety. The powertrain adds a Bisimoto Custom Exhaust System, Arias 9:1 compression pistons, Kinsler fuel rail and filter, Spearco Intercooler, and Tubonetics BTX-6465 Billet Turbo with wastegate and blowoff valve. The chassis and suspension adds Toyo R888 tires, Buddy Club 4-Pot Big Brake Kit and Lug Nuts, and fifteen52 TARMAC R43 19×8.5 wheels.

On the outside, the Brute Ute gets a Denmatic design scheme with Bisimoto Custom Grille Insert, Hyundai Genuine Equipment Mud Flaps, Rhythms Powder Coating, and Driftmotion Aluminum Piping. Additions to the interior include a Bisimoto 4-Point Roll Cage, Infinity Sound System with HD Radio, Racepak IQ3Dash, European-influenced leather interior, and Buddy Club racing seat and short shifter.
