Memorial Day Weekend is finally here to officially kick off Summer 2016. Millions of Americans will be hitting the roadways for a well-deserved vacation, and many will jump into the pool for the first time this season. Whether there are beaches or barbecues on the schedule for your weekend, consider taking advantage of these discounts and special offers. Memorial Day was created to honor the sacrifices of the men and women of the military who have gone before us, so some of these are only available to active military personnel and veterans.

Cars

Toyota: The ToyotaTime sales event is going on now with select models such as the 2016 Corolla, 2016 RAV4, and 2016 Camry available with 0% APR for qualified buyers
Hyundai: Hyundai’s Memorial Day Sales Event is going on now, with a double military coupon of $1,000 off eligible 2015, 2016, and 2017 model-year new Hyundai vehicles (see a dealer for military service eligibility), and 0% financing on its most popular models
Subaru: Subaru isn’t promoting an organized holiday sale, but it is offering 0% financing for a limited term on the 2016 Subaru Forester
Jeep: Until May 31st shoppers can take advantage of $500 bonus cash on 2016 Jeep Cherokee, and members of the military and veterans are eligible for $500 military bonus cash on select new models

VW: If you’re ready to forgive Volkswagen, check out its $1,000 holiday bonus cash and no interest offers on its most popular models
Ram: Select trucks are eligible for a $1,000 bonus cash offer, and military personnel can take advantage of additional $500 bonus cash
Ford: The Ford Smart Bonus sale is offering 0% APR for 60 months on select new Ford models, and veterans and active duty military are eligible for $750 bonus cash
Chevrolet: Crossover fans will be happy to know that the Chevrolet Equinox, Trax, and Traverse are available with cash allowances and exceptional lease offers
Honda: The Honda Memorial Day Sales Event is going on now, with models like the 2016 Accord, Odyssey, and Accord available with 0.9% APR, and members of the military get special APR rates on the HR-V and Civic
Kia: The Summer’s On Us Sales Event is going on now, with the the Kia Optima, Soul, Forte, or Forte5 are available with no payments for the first five months with Kia picking up the tab for the first two and 0% APR financing for eligible buyers

2nd and Charles: Memorial deals continue through June 5th, and include bargains such as buy three, get two free on used fiction and CDs and a free tote with a $25 purchase
Easy Spirit: The shoe retailer’s site is offering 50% off all sandals and everything else is buy one, get one 50% off
Metropolitan Museum of Art (New York): Online shoppers can take 20% off site wide with the code MD2016
Old Navy: All tees, tank tops, shorts, and swimwear are 50% off
Kohl’s: Shoppers online can take $10 off when they spend $25 or more with promo code SUPERSAVER, with plenty of deals also available in store

LegoLand Florida: Active-duty military members get free admission to the park and water park all year, with their families, veterans, and National Guard members getting 25% off tickets and a free second day
Hotels.com: Online shoppers can save up to 40% off their bookings through the site this weekend
Hertz: Compact cars reserved through August 31st can be eligible for a free weekend day when they are rented for at least three days with promo code PC #107811 (some restrictions apply)

 

Food

Hard Rock Cafe: Diners can take a vacation without leaving their table with eight unique international burgers being served through June 30th.
Boston Market: In-restaurant diners can take 25% off of any family meal on May 30th. Please visit its website for a coupon to activate the deal
7-Eleven: Now to May 30th, Slurpees are buy one get one free at participating stores
Hooters: On Memorial Day, current or former members of the military can receive a free meal from a special menu
McCormick & Schmick’s: Veterans and active military members are invited to enjoy a free lunch or dinner on Memorial Day
