Mercedes-Benz’s April 2015 Sales Are Company’s Best April Ever
According to Mercedes-Benz’s April 2015 sales report, the luxury automaker just celebrated its best April ever in the United States. In total, Mercedes moved 29,188 units last month, marking a 12.8% increase over the 25,887 sold in April of 2014. Meanwhile, smart sold 480 models in April, and Sprinter managed to move 2,764 units for a 15.5% gain. That put Mercedes-Benz USA at a 32,432 total for April.
Year-to-date, Mercedes-Benz has moved 107,344 vehicles (up 9% over last year). Smart has sold 2,013 models, and Sprinter has sold 8,323 vehicles for an 18.6% increase over the same time period in 2014. In total, MBUSA has sold 117,680 year-to-date.
“The momentum of a record first quarter propelled us to the best April sales in our history,” said Stephen Cannon, president and CEO of MBUSA. “With the Mercedes-Maybach S600 and Mercedes-AMG GT S now arriving in showrooms, we’re fueling our growth at the upper reaches of the luxury and high-performance markets.”
Leading the charge for Mercedes in April were the C-, E-, and M-Class vehicles. Specifically, Mercedes-Benz sold 6,665 C-Class models (30.3% increase over last year). The M-Class saw a 29.1% increase at 4,945 units, and the E-Class sold 3,466 units.
Mercedes-AMG models also saw great success in April, at 1,119 units and 11.2% over April of last year.
