“We’re excited to welcome Met to the Ford Middle East and Africa team. Met’s wealth of experience in emerging market operations will be invaluable in driving growth and expansion and transforming customers’ experiences in the region,” said Brent.

The 48-year-old’s tenure with Ford began in 1998 when he took on the role of dealer operations manager for Ford Philippines fresh out of De La Salle University in Manilla, where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. In the years since, Arias has served in numerous leadership roles throughout the Asia Pacific region, Thailand, India, and Africa. Among the more prominent roles is a stint as the director of Ford’s Customer Service Division in ASEAN and Japan and his time as the managing director in Vietnam, where he helped to orchestrate Ford’s resurgence into a top-three brand.

As VP of Marketing, Sales, and Services, Arias will oversee dealer relations in the region, working to grow both the Ford and Lincoln brands by emphasizing better experiences for customers at retail and over the ownership term.
