Mitsubishi Has Best April Sales in 7 Years
April 2015 was a month to remember for Mitsubishi Motors North America (MMNA). The brand continued its sales success with a whopping 8,216 units moved off dealer lots last month. This marks a 25.6% sales increase over April of 2014 and continues the automaker’s trend of sales increases. In fact, Mitsubishi has seen 14 consecutive months of year-over-year sales increases here in North America. Last month was Mitsubishi’s best April in seven years.
As expected, it was the Outlander Sport that led the charge. Mitsubishi dealers managed to sell 2,674 examples of the compact crossover. The highly efficient Mirage also performed well, with 2,407 models sold. Sales of the Mirage are up a massive 65.4% for the year, when compared to the first four months of 2014. The Mitsubishi Outlander also dominated with 1,254 units sold, marking the model’s best April since way back in 2007.

“In March, we finished the first quarter of 2015 with an incredible sales pace. And that momentum carried over into April with our core models continuing to lead the way,” commented MMNA Executive Vice President, Don Swearingen. “Our cars are not only priced right, but they are also economical to own, exceptionally reliable and are backed by an industry-leading warranty. It is these important qualities that are attracting new car buyers to the Mitsubishi brand.”
Mitsubishi’s April sales were so strong that every single model in the automaker’s lineup sold better in April 2015 than they did in April 2014. Not a bad way to start the second fiscal quarter, eh?
