2014 Mitsubishi Mirage

Mitsubishi is starting the new year with a lot of positive news. Its sales in 2014 were vastly improved from 2013, and the brand has just been named in an annual owner loyalty study. When it comes to sub-compact cars, it turns out that Mitsubishi Mirage owners are the most likely to buy another Mitsubishi, according to IHS.

Don Swearingen, Executive VP of Mitsubishi Motors North America, had this to say: “Mitsubishi Motors has experienced growing customer loyalty across our entire model lineup through the years, and this award demonstrates that we are successfully retaining our current customers while simultaneously introducing new consumers to the brand.”

The tiny Mirage achieves an incredible 44 mpg on the highway, earning it a spot on ACEEE’s “Greenest Vehicles” list and the title of most fuel efficient non-hybrid gas car in the US. Mitsubishi also backs up the quality of the Mirage with a 10 year / 100,000 mile warranty, which could explain a lot when it comes to owner loyalty.

Although a sub-compact may not sound like much fun, the Mirage offers some pretty fun paint colors like Kiwi Green, Plasma Purple, and Sapphire Blue. Plus, these loyal Mirage owners probably put all that extra cash they don’t spend on fuel in a piggy bank to save up for their next Mirage. It’s a perfect cycle.
