The 2016 Mitsubishi Outlander helped the Mitsubishi brand achieve a sales increase in the month of June

It’s no secret that Mitsubishi has been slightly struggling of late, especially in terms of sales in the United States. For the month of June, though, Mitsubishi came out on top. These June sales allowed the Mitsubishi brand to increase its calendar year 2016 sales to 51,934. This is a 5% increase in sales over last year, which only has 49,544 units sold in the same time period.

Mitsubishi’s June 2016 sales totaled 8,023 units, which is a slight increase of 1% over the sales of June in 2015. While this doesn’t seem like a significant increase compared to other carmaker’s sales, it does illustrate just how well the Japanese carmaker’s crossover vehicles are doing in the United States.

Compared to last year’s June sales, the 2016 Mitsubishi Outlander three-row crossover SUV managed to have a high increase of 86%. It sold a total of 1,991 units in June 2016 compared to the 1,068 units sold in June of 2015. The Mitsubishi Outlander’s sales for June 2016 are the best sales the vehicle has seen since 2007.
