Mitsubishi Motors Sales Up 24.8% Over Last Year
We don’t hear much news about Mitsubishi, but it seems that the automaker has had quite a successful year, with sales up nearly 25% over 2013.
A major factor in the increased sales were the Outlander and Outlander Sport. The smaller Outlander Sport sold 24.5% more vehicles over 2013 and had its best December ever with 2,755 units sold last month.
Demand for the Outlander Sport compact SUV shows that many people are taking advantage of the increased space that CUVs provide mixed with the fuel-efficiency and convenience of a smaller car.
Don Swearingen, Executive Vice President of Mitsubishi Motors North America, said, “As we move into 2015 we will start to introduce new versions of the Outlander with more refinement and power in what will be the first of a series of launches that will incorporate the brand’s new design language and vehicle packaging.”
With promising numbers like this and December being the tenth consecutive month of year-to-year sales increases for Mitsubishi, 2015 is looking pretty bright!
