Mitsubishi Motors North America (MMNA) recently announced that the 2015 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport was named to Kelley Blue Book’s’s “10 Most Affordable SUVs” list for 2015. The 2014 model earned the same recognition last year.

One of the biggest selling points that is keeping Mitsubishi afloat in the United States is its industry-best warranty. Like all other Mitsubishi models, the 2015 Outlander Sport comes with a 10-year/100,000-mile powertrain warranty that really appealed to KBB editors.

Editors also noted that the Outlander Sport earned a Top Safety Pick designation from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS). Safety is guaranteed by features like Hill Start Assist, Active Stability Control with Traction Control Logic, Reinforced Impact Safety Evolution body/chassis construction technology, seven airbags (including the driver’s side knee airbag), and the anti-lock braking system with Electronic Brake-force Distribution and Brake Assist.

“The 2015 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport – the brand’s best-selling vehicle – offers distinctive styling like no other vehicle in its class,” remarked Don Swearingen, Executive Vice President of MMNA. “Because of its extensive list of features, safety technologies and an industry-leading warranty, the Outlander Sport has established itself as an extraordinary value for new car shoppers.”

The 2015 Outlander Sport brings the best of both worlds—a long list of features and an incredibly low asking price. It’s no wonder it made KBB’s list once again.

I recently bought a 2014 Outlander Sport and can’t believe what a GREAT car this is! My 5 speed manual drives “fun” like a sports car, has plenty of hauling space, gets good MPG, is union made in the USA and looks great! Hats off to the “team” at Mitsubishi…one of the best cars I’ve ever owned!
