Mitsubishi Sales in May Up 54.2%
Mitsubishi sales in May were up 54.2 percent over U.S. sales from the year prior, marking the company’s best May sales mark in three years and the second-best since 2008. The strong May proves that Mitsubishi’s stellar April sales were no fluke and that the automaker is poised to continue its roll throughout 2014.
“April was a big month for us and now we backed it up with another outstanding month in May,” said MMNA Executive Vice President, Don Swearingen. “We are enthused that new-car shoppers are taking notice of our brand and we are not going to let up in June.”
The Outlander Sport, which was recently named to Kelley Blue Book’s “10 Most Affordable SUVs” list, enjoyed its second-best monthly sales total since its 2013 launch with 2,820 units sold and a 24.4 percent year-over-year increase.
