Mitsubishi Sees Best November Sales in Over a Decade
November was an impressive month for Mitsubishi, with their sales numbers rolling in at 8,609 units, a 24.8% increase year-over-year when compared to November 2016. This marks the highest November sales for Mitsubishi since 2006.
This increase fits in with Mitsubishi’s overall trend for the year, increasing 2017 calendar-year sales by 7.1%. So far this year, Mitsubishi has sold a total of 95,185 units, with the Outlander being the brand’s best-seller.

This year’s spotlight is on the 2018 Mitsubishi Outlander. November 2017 Outlander sales jumped by 68.5% from last year with 3,740 units sold. The Outlander Sport is improving, too, with a 24.5% year-over-year improvement, selling 2,931 units in November. The 2018 Outlander Sport is the second-best selling vehicle for Mitsubishi this year, followed closely by the 2018 Mirage.
“November was a big month for the brand, our best November in 11 years,” said executive vice president and chief operating officer Don Swearingen. “The Outlander and Outlander Sport are products that are resonating with consumers, and we’re focused on a strong finish to 2017 and a fifth consecutive year of sales growth.”
The Outlander is having a great start to the month of December, too. Earlier this week, the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) awarded the 2018 Outlander with a Top Safety Pick designation. This is the second highest safety rating available, awarded based on a series of crash tests and tests of other safety feature such as headlights.
The 2018 Outlander can be equipped with driver-assist features like Rear Cross-Traffic Alert, Lane Change Assist, Forward Collision Mitigation, Adaptive Cruise Control, and Lane Departure Warning.
