Ford Commits 300 Jobs, $129M to MKC at Louisville Assembly Plant
New Ford Motor Company CEO Mark Fields and Lincoln Motor Company President/Vice President Kumar Galhotra are no doubt betting the farm on the success of the 2015 Lincoln MKC. So far, the brand’s compact crossover has been paying dividends, racking up two months of strong sales and garnering a good deal of buzz with the acquisition of Academy Award-winner Matthew McConaughey as its spokesman. To help support the emergent nameplate, Ford has announced that it will hire an additional 300 employees for and invest $129 million into the production of the MKC at Louisville Assembly Plant.

The MKC follows the MKZ as the Lincoln brand’s second of four new models scheduled to debut by 2016. The MKC has been a roaring success thus far and could pave the way for even greater brand success down the road.
