Travis Pastrana is perhaps most famous for landing the first motocross double backflip at the X-Games in 2010, but he’s recently decided to take those automotive talents back to NASCAR in the Camping World Truck Series.

Pastrana has agreed to a one-race deal with NTS Motorsports to compete in the October 3rd event at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. NTS currently employs one full-time driver, Daniel Hemric, who drives the No. 14 Chevrolet Silverado sponsored by California Clean. Pastrana will be racing the No. 31 Chevy Silverado with sponsorship provided by GunBroker.

This will be Pastrana’s second race in the Camping World Truck Series. He finished 15th in the 2012 truck race at Las Vegas. Pastrana also has experience in the NASCAR XFINITY Series, where he competed in 42 races from 2012-2013. He was 14th in the overall standings in 2013, but only finished inside the top 10 in four races.

Pastrana left NASCAR after the 2013 season and returned to motocross. The 31-year-old Pastrana also tours the world with his “Nitro Circus” stunt show.

Additionally, Pastrana currently competes in the Red Bull Global RallyCross Championship, which also features notable drivers such as professional skateboarder Bucky Lasek, motocross legend Brian Deegan, and former NASCAR driver Scott Speed.
