Multi-Year Toyota Sponsorship of USA Hockey Announced
It might not be as well-known as the NHL, but USA Hockey is just as worthy of recognition. It’s the National Governing Body for the sport here in the United States, and it enjoys close partnerships with the NHL, as well as the United States Olympic Committee and the International Ice Hockey Federation. It’s also where young people develop their love of the sport, which could lead to challenging careers playing for top NHL teams in future years. Toyota sponsorship of USA Hockey isn’t a new thing, but the automaker just signed a multi-year renewal of its sponsorship.
“We’re excited to continue our relationship with Toyota,” mentioned Dave Ogrean, executive director of USA Hockey. “They’ve been a terrific addition to our corporate partner family and we’re particularly pleased to have them involved with our national championships.”
Since 2012, Toyota has been the title sponsor of the Toyota-USA Hockey National Championships for the youth, girl’s/women’s, high school, and hockey sled divisions. The championships are held every spring after a grueling season on hockey to determine the year’s champions.
Ed Laukes, vice president of marketing for Toyota, remarked, “Toyota and USA Hockey have established a great relationship to inspire the journey of the players, coaches and fans, and we look forward to going places together for seasons to come.”
