Technology is great, no? Today, you can use your watch—something that once served only the purposes of telling time and looking good on your wrist—to do everything from receive messages and calls to monitor your heart rate and play games. If you are a Cadillac owner, you might already be using the myCadillac mobile app on your smartphone; if you also happen to own an Apple Watch, you can now use the myCadillac app there as well as it has been made compatible with WatchOS3.

“The Apple Watch integration is another example of the seamless integration of technology Apple aficionados have come to expect from the Cadillac brand,” said John McFarland, director of Global Digital Experience.

The myCadillac app will automatically sync to your Apple Watch, giving drivers the ability to locate their vehicles, get walking directions to their vehicles, remotely start or stop their vehicles, lock or unlock the doors, and activate or cancel horn and lights.

According to Cadillac, the myCadillac app has seen usage go up by almost 50% in 2017, thanks both to availability on every 2011 model-year or newer Cadillac vehicle and to the availability of the app on App Store and Google Play.

Cadillac’s current lineup also offers standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility and available wireless phone charging. Additionally, using HDMI connection or available OnStar 4G LTE Wi-Fi, Escalade and CT6 passengers can stream shows via Apple TV to those vehicles’ rear infotainment screens.

Technology. It is indeed a wondrous thing.
