The National Corvette Museum’s Motorsports Park, which was completed this year, was recently named “The Most Outstanding Facility of the Year” by The National Speedway and Track Guide. The award, which was created by the Race Track Business Conference, was presented at the 2014 Racing Industry Trade Show.

More Accolades: Motor Trend Awards Chevrolet Colorado Truck of the Year

Just to give you an idea of how big an award this is—and how hard to obtain it is—Indianapolis Motor Speedway won the award last year. Yes, that means the Motorsports Park at the Corvette Museum has been recognized on the same level as a world-famous and iconic race track.

Tim Frost, who is the organizer of the Racing Industry Trade Show, remarked, “The NCM Motorsports Park is the next generation venue that meets the demands of automotive manufacturers and after-market performance entities. Having a facility that is close to the Corvette assembly plant provides a unique opportunity for performance research and development.”

Mitch Wright, who is the general manager of the Corvette Museum’s Motorsports Park, added, “We are honored to receive this award on behalf of motorsports enthusiasts. The NCM Motorsports Park is designed to be a world-class facility, and serve as a destination for corporate events, driver training and information, and recreational car and bike devotees.”

Congrats to the National Corvette Museum on this big win.
