If you are arriving from the New York or Boston area, the best way to get to Providence is by driving through Interstate 95. Historic U.S. Route 1 also runs through the heart of the Providence Metropolitan area. Regardless of how you plan on getting into the city, there is an interstate that will take you where you need to go.

The Rhode Island Public Transit Authority has recently expanded its bussing operation, adding new stops and making it easier to get around Providence. There are also several trolley tours offered for the city area, making it easy to get around while also learning about the wonderful city of Providence.

Best Places to Park

Although a large city in many ways, finding parking can still be difficult in Providence.
