The National Corvette Museum launched its Motorsports Park during its 20th anniversary celebration last month, and already, the park is close to its goal of booking 200 days of events for next year, at 189 at the time of publication. It is imperative that the NCM Motorsports Park reaches its goal, as the project was a massive investment that has relied on donations and sponsorships. Ensuring its profitability even in this first year will be crucial.

Bowling Green Daily News is reporting that the 189 bookings (thus far) reflect a variety of participants. Both individuals and groups have reserved the 3.15 mile track. Ron Fellows Performance Driving School, the “Official Performance Driving School of the National Corvette Museum” and the “Official Partner of the NCM Motorsports Park,” has already booked 14 days in the summer months of 2015 for driving school sessions. These sessions might be the make-or-break indication of whether the NCM Motorsports Park will offer performance driving classes at the track long-term.

Despite being owned by the National Corvette Museum, the Motorsports Park happily welcomes all makes and models. In fact, the Bluegrass BMW club will be the park’s first client this October.

Currently, the museum is still seeking out more funding via sponsorships to complete the garage complex and pavilion areas. Once those areas are completely finished, the museum will turn its attention to the Holley Performance Products Control Tower and Event Center.

The community grand opening for the NCM Motorsports Park is set for this Tuesday, September 16.
