New 2018 Jeep Wrangler Reveal Date Set for November
Meanwhile, the next generation of Ram 1500 models will be revealed in January
During the past few months, plenty of details surrounding the next generation of Jeep Wrangler vehicles have emerged. Nevertheless, one aspect has remained a mystery: the reveal date of the new Wrangler.
Finally, those details have indeed been released, as Fiat Chrysler Automobiles confirmed that the new 2018 Jeep Wrangler would be unveiled next month in November.
An official date for the reveal has not been announced yet. Still, several details point toward an unveiling at the Los Angeles Auto Show.
Jeep is currently scheduled to hold a press conference on November 29 during the show. This would be the most likely time for the brand to debut the brand-new Wrangler.
Additionally, it would appear that the Wrangler isn’t the only vehicle set to make a big debut in the next coming months. The same third-quarter presentation that listed the Wrangler’s November unveiling also stated that the next iteration of Ram 1500 pickups will be revealed in January of next year.
Like with the Wrangler’s suspected debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show, the Ram 1500 will probably be revealed during an auto show as well. In this case, the most likely candidate is the North American International Auto Show, historically held in Detroit during January.
A lot of information about the upcoming Jeep Wrangler has already been released, the majority of it through leaks. In fact, the new Wrangler’s owner’s manual was leaked a few weeks ago, not only providing Jeep enthusiasts with a more complete look at the vehicle’s design, but also an in-depth look at its features and capabilities.
FCA is already preparing the Toledo Assembly Complex for the upcoming wave of Wrangler orders, with a $700 million investment and 700 new employees. The company’s CEO, Sergio Marchionne, stated that the factory should be able to produce 300,000 Jeep Wranglers a year, starting in 2018.
That capacity should increase even more when the Wrangler-based pickup truck begins production shortly after manufacturing for the new Wrangler begins. In 2016, the Toledo plant was only able to produce 245,000 Wrangler models.
If Jeep enthusiasts weren’t already excited for the Los Angeles Auto Show, then they will reportedly have something to look forward to when the long-awaited reveal of the latest Jeep Wrangler takes place next month.
