A new promotional campaign will launch for the BuyPower Card from Capital One, which allows consumers to rack up points every time they spend and put them toward the purchase of a new General Motors vehicle. The campaign, which launches on August 4, will cover the digital, print, and TV sectors. In fact, you can preview the BuyPower Card from Capital One TV ad right now below, before it hits TVs on the 4th. (Our gift to you, yeah?)

While no changes have been made to the rewards program, both Capital One and General Motors hope that the ad campaign will better demonstrate how the two brands are connected.

“The BuyPower Card is one of the quickest and easiest tools to help put consumers behind the wheel of a new Chevrolet, Buick, GMC or Cadillac,” explained Chuck Thomson, general manager, GM Retail Sales and Marketing Support. “It offers rewards with none of the restrictions – no earning limits, no redemption caps, no earnings expiration dates and no annual membership fee.”

The BuyPower Card from Capital One allows users to claim 5 percent earnings on the first $5,000 net card purchases (so math tells us that’s $250), and then an unlimited 2 percent on all other purchases.
