The new 2015 Kia Optima commercial reminds us of the sedan’s good points
Though the 2016 Kia Optima is starting to turn heads across the globe, the 2015 model is still alive and kicking—something that couldn’t be more obvious in the newest commercial from Kia. The carmaker’s newest TV spot reminds us the joy we felt when we received our first car in the most unexpected way.

The 30-second spot starts with the father purchasing the Kia Optima straight from the dealer. As he drives the car home, we get a shot of the spectacularly huge red bow in the background—because what car isn’t better with a big bow?
As Daddy-O continues to drive home, you can tell that he’s really enjoying himself behind the wheel of the Optima. When he finally arrives in his driveway and greeted by his daughters and wife, we’re in for a bit of a surprise. Instead of giving his oldest the Kia Optima he planned on giving her, he instead hands her a puppy on top of the big red bow.
If that’s not a plot twist, we don’t know what is.

While Mom isn’t exactly happy with the ol’ switch-a-roo, as the dad explains “It’s a turbo,” we’re reminded—the 2015 Kia Optima is pretty darn awesome. With a 2.0-liter engine that offers 274 horsepower and is all wrapped up in a super stylish package, there’s really no denying that we wouldn’t be able to walk away from the 2015 Optima Turbo either.
Though, if we’re being honest, we’d probably choose the puppy. Just because, really, who doesn’t want a puppy?
