2018 Nissan Leaf Teaser

Nissan is getting more and more excited every day about the upcoming reveal of its next-generation Nissan Leaf. Set for September 6th in Japan and September 5th in the US, the new vehicle marks only the second generation of a vehicle that has been on the market since 2010. While industry experts agree that it is time for the Leaf to get an update, especially as it faces mounting competition, everyone still wonders if it is getting enough of an upgrade to stay relevant. To make sure that everyone gets to see how awesome this revamped EV is, Nissan is scheduling many appearances for it. The first comes right away on September 6th in Detroit.

The inaugural Technology in Motion (TIM Detroit) exhibition and conference in Detroit will be the first to host the brand new vehicle. This event spans over three days and is all about how technology and the car world are working together for a better future on America’s roads. The organizers, Crain Communications and MSX International, announced that the show will have a mix of STEM-related activities, product exhibitions, panel discussions, and on-site events.

“The launch of the Nissan LEAF is the perfect kickoff for TIM Detroit,” said KC Crain, president and chief operating officer, Crain Communications – a co-producer of TIM Detroit. “It clearly demonstrates the innovative spirit that TIM Detroit is designed to showcase.”
