The future of Kia Motors Europe, specifically its ongoing sales expansion, is now in the hands of Yong Kew Park.

Park has invested over 30 years into working for Kia, so he possesses exceptional knowledge about the brand, the company, and all of its products. Park has taken over the reins from Mr. Ho Sung Song, who has accepted the position of Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer overseeing the Global Operations Division in Seoul, Korea. The Global Operations Division is a brand-new department and operates out of the automaker’s world headquarters.

“I have been fortunate to gain extensive experience of Kia and its operations around the world, providing me with very useful insight into the business and the wider new car market. I am joining Kia Motors Europe at an exciting time for the company, with a range of new vehicles helping to drive the brand to new heights. I am confident that the experience I can bring to the role will help Kia continue strengthen its position within the European market,” stated Park after assuming his new role at the company.

His most recent role, acquired in early 2016, was as President of Kia Motors Russia. Before that, Park was Head of Sales at Dongfeng Yueda Kia Motor Co. in China, regional president of Kia Motors Central and South America, Chief Executive Coordinator at Kia Motors America, and regional manager for Kia Motors in Africa and the Middle East.

“During Park’s Russian tenure, Kia vehicles came to account for more than one in 10 new car sales—more than any other foreign brand,” reports Kia.
