After making its debut at the fifth annual Mille Mitten rally, Buick has officially announced that a new Sport Touring trim will be offered with the Cascada convertible for the 2017 model year.

The new Sport Touring model will be truly unique since it will only be available with the True Blue Metallic exterior color option, which isn’t available with other versions of the Cascada convertible. In addition, the Cascada ST will come with distinctive five-spoke 20-inch wheels and a triple-insulated black cloth top, which can be lowered in just 17 seconds at speeds of up to 31 mph.

The interior of the new Cascada ST also comes with unique features, including UV-reflective leather-appointed seats, a flat-bottom sport steering wheel, sport pedals, and Black Magic interior trim components. In addition, the black cloth top provides additional insulation and tranquility thanks to its three layers of fabric.

The 2017 Buick Cascada ST will carry a starting MSRP of $37,884, which includes the destination fee. That price tag will make it approximately $4,000 more expensive than the entry-level Cascada convertible.

Through first six months of this year, the new Buick Cascada has actually outsold both the Audi A3 convertible and Audi A5 convertible combined. Those strong sales could have been aided by the five-star safety rating the Cascada earned from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).

The pictures that GM provided of the Cascada ST (seen below) were taken by photographer Zach Allia. If you’re not familiar with Allia, he left a job in Silicon Valley in order to focus on photography, which has earned him more than 420,000 followers on Instagram.

Besides featuring the special equipment listed above, the 2017 Buick Cascada ST will come equipped with all the content from other Cascada models, including the 1.6-liter turbocharged engine rated at 200 horsepower and 206 lb-ft of torque
