The Verano’s different powertrains all come standard with start-stop technology, which helps to both improve fuel economy and reduce emissions. Available for the 20T models is the 1.5T SIDI engine, which sets new standards for power and fuel consumption. The 15S models receive the mid-mounted 1.5-liter SIDI mated to either a six-speed DSS or a six-speed manual transmission.

Significant for the new model is a body structure composed of 72% high-strength steel and a number of active and passive safety features including Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keep Assist, Collision Mitigation Braking, and High Beam Assist.

All new models will come standard with dual-panel panoramic sunroof, Remote Engine Start, and two rear USB ports for easy charging.
