New Video Shows Building of Ultimate Nissan Titan
Nissan created what it calls “the world’s first crowd-sourced truck” when it partnered with the Wounded Warrior Project and invited Facebook users to vote on Project Titan, which was aimed at designing the ultimate Nissan Titan pickup for two injured service members who have been picked to take the Titan on “an epic Alaskan adventure.” Now the company has released the first in a series of videos about the building of the vehicle.

“Our truck fans in social media are building the ultimate Nissan Titan, so that we can take it to Alaska and beat the heck out of it,” says Nissan North America senior planner Brent Hagan, somewhat undercutting the video’s guitar-heavy, “hardcore” styling with his use of the children’s pretend swear word “heck.”
The video proceeds to highlight some of the new features that were voted on by Facebook users, including new Nitto Trail Grappler tires and a 4” PRG mid-travel suspension system. The video also teases some shots of the Titan being tested in Alaska. More will be revealed when Nissan releases “Phase 2.”
