New Yorkers Take on Snowpocalypse in Best Way Possible

While the East Coast was hunkering down during the Snowpocalypse earlier this week, many people were taking advantage of the snow in the best ways possible. Social media practically blew up with pictures of snow-related activities, like sledding, making snow forts, and snow diving.

But one group of guys really took things to the next level.

In what might be the most American thing to ever happen, a skier and a snowboarder took to the snowy streets of New York City—despite the fact that they were shut down—waving an American flag while being towed by a Jeep Wrangler.

Could there be any better way to sit out the Snowpocalypse?

Even the cops were cool with it.

The video was created by Casey Neistat, Jesse Wellens, Dean Neistat, and Oscar Boyson. Each of the boys took turns behind the wheel and out on the road. While it might seem like this was an impromptu decision, it was actually quite thought out. In fact, in an entirely different YouTube video, the boys give us a look into their planning process. A lot went into it—there was even a drone involved.

In the end, the edits added the wonderful beauty that is Frank Sinatra’s “New York, New York” and then the video went viral in the matter of hours.
