The Genesis Intelligent Assistant makes the ownership experience of a Hyundai even more authentic.

Hyundai’s next-generation Blue Link® system won LAPTOP Magazine’s Best Car Technology award for its impressive performance at this year’s 2014 International Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.

“The Genesis Intelligent Assistant combines our next-generation Blue Link cloud platform with a proactive assistant that will help Genesis owners save time and reduce stress,” said Michael Deitz, senior group manager of Connected Care, Hyundai Motor America, in the automaker’s press release. “This is a great way to show how Hyundai is using technology to enhance the ownership experience and we’re honored that the editors of LAPTOP Magazine have recognized Blue Link by naming it a winner at CES this year.”

Of the features offered with the next generation of Blue Link, LAPTOP’s editors said they were particularly excited by the Genesis Intelligent Assistant app. Genesis Intelligent Assistant works with Google Glass, enabling drivers with the abilities of remote start and stop, remote lock and unlock, and remote climate control. Other LAPTOP Magazine Best of CES 2014 Award winners included the Samsung Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 (Best Large Tablet), ASUS Transformer Book Duet (Best Hybrid), and Mophie Space Pack (Best Accessory).

Never leave late in a freezing car again by scheduling a departure free of cold air and last-minute stress.

One of the keys in Blue Link’s winning LAPTOP Magazine’s Best Car Technology Award, Genesis Intelligent Assistant also allows drivers to provide commute information and calendar data to their vehicle in order to schedule appropriate departure times for upcoming dates and meetings. The feature provides up-to-the-minute traffic updates and uses temperature readings to send drivers notifications suggesting the use of remote start to pre-heat or cool their 2015 Hyundai Genesis.

“The mobile innovations at this year’s CES will pave the way for an exciting 2014,” said LAPTOP Editor in Chief Mark Spoonauer. “The award-winning products and prototypes that made our list blaze a trail for other companies to follow.”
