2015 model follows in footsteps of predecessor
Following in the footsteps of its 2014 predecessor, the 2015 Chevy Impala has established itself as a safe and reliable competitor in the full-size sedan market. As a testament, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) just awarded the 2015 Impala a 5-Star Overall Safety Rating, the highest distinction that the government administration doles out.

Specifically, the 2015 Impala earned five stars in both front and side crash tests and picked up four stars in the rollover crash test.
The Impala features a wide array of safety technologies that helped secure its success. Among the technologies are the Impala’s 10 standard airbags, antilock brakes, electronic stability control, and traction control. The Impala also boasts optional safety equipment, like crash-imminent braking, a lane-departure warning system, and a rearview camera. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) has not yet rated the 2015 Impala, but gave the 2014 model a top rating of “Good.”
