The SUVs that made U.S. News & World Report’s list of 15 SUVs with the Best Towing strike an incredible balance of power, exceptional capability, room for many and comfort for all. Securing a well-deserved spot on the pub’s list is the 2018 Nissan Armada.

“The optimal towing setup is with rear-wheel drive and the optional Driver Package. For $600, it adds a trailer towing harness connector for a brake controller. It also adds a power-folding third-row seat, fog lights, and a power liftgate,” reports U.S. News & World Report Writer George Kennedy.

The 2018 Nissan Armada is available at three trim levels — SV, SL, and Platinum. Each trim is powered by a 5.6-liter DOHC 32-valve V8 engine paired to a seven-speed automatic transmission with manual shift mode and Downshift Rev Matching. The powertrain generates 390 horsepower and 394 lb-ft of torque.

Comfort is key as the 2018 Armada features a standard 10-way power driver’s seat with two-way power lumbar support, eight-way power passenger’s seat with two-way power lumbar support, and heated front seats.

The SL trim features a seven-pin wiring harness, trailer brake pre-wing, Memory System for the driver’s seat and leather-appointed seats.

The Premium trim delivers a power sliding glass moonroof with one-touch open/close and tilt feature, climate-controlled front seats (heated and cooled), and heated outboard second-row seats. The Armada Premium is well-equipped with advanced driver assist technologies such as an Intelligent Rear View Monitor, Intelligent Cruise Control, Intelligent Forward Collision Warning, Blind Spot Warning, and Lane Departure Warning.
