After a big reveal of the 2016 Nissan Titan in Detroit last month, Nissan shifted gears to the 2015 Chicago Auto Show with a focus on the NISMO performance division.

Nissan brought out the Nissan GT-R NISMO LM P1 Race Car that was revealed during the “With Dad” Super Bowl commercial for its car show debut, allowing the public to see it in person for the first time. It was announced that Jann Mardenborough, GT Academy winner, would join Lucas Ordonez and Michael Krumm as drivers for the new race car, which is aiming to take a victory for Nissan at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in June.

The GT-R NISMO LM P1 uses a unique engine layout not seen in over 20 years with a mid-front mounted twin-turbocharged V6 engine and hybrid powertrain that work together to power the front wheels.

A new NISMO model was revealed as well: the Nissan 370Z NISMO Roadster Concept, which may have a possibility of production depending on interest. Darren Cox, Global Head, Brand, Marketing & Sales for NISMO, said, “We will see what kinds of attention we get in social media and then decide whether or not this is something that we will bring to reality in the future.”

So, if you want to see more of the 370Z NISMO Roadster, you had better start tweeting.
