NissanThe Goodwood Festival of Speed in England is always about showing off the best of the best cars to the world. To compete with the sleek race and concept cars on display, Nissan brought along its futuristic BladeGlider vehicle to take on the Hill for the Supercar run. It is accompanied by its French cousin, the Renault Zoe e-Sport Concept, and it joins a group of electric vehicles looking to prove that EVs are just as cool as standard cars.

“As a pioneer of the electric vehicle movement, Nissan wants to get people excited about the future of zero-emission technology, and the Nissan BladeGlider does just that,” said Ponz Pandikuthira, vice president Product Planning, Nissan Europe. “The BladeGlider has been developed to bring fun, torque, efficiency and high-performance styling to the fore. Goodwood has been a world-famous showcase for many an iconic sports car over the years, so we could think of no better place to bring the BladeGlider out to play, demonstrating the Nissan Intelligent Mobility vision in action.”

Besides the BladeGlider vehicle, Nissan also brought production cars to the event that runs from June 29th-July 2nd. The Nissan GT-R NISMO, arguably the most impressive version of the model, is taking on the Supercar Run through Saturday. Spectators that are window shopping will also be happy to know that the 2017 Nissan GT-R production model will be in the race on Sunday so that they can see it in action.

Although Margot Robbie is the new Nissan Electric Vehicle Ambassador, it does not look like she will be accompanying Nissan’s flashiest EV to England. Hopefully we will see her with the Nissan badge soon enough, when the new Nissan Leaf is unveiled to the world in September.
