2017 Nissan Rogue

Nissan has earned the top 2017 brand award from the Automotive Science Group (ASG) for its “commitment to corporate social responsibility and environmental protection.” Four Nissan vehicles—the Rogue (Nissan’s top-selling vehicle), Pathfinder, Versa Sedan, and Leaf–were also ranked top vehicles in their categories according to ASG’s 2017 Automotive Performance Index (API).

Founded by the environmental policy consultancy Eco-Innovations, LLC, the ASG is a “lifecycle data-driven research group.”

Recognized twice, the 2017 Nissan Rogue and the 2017 Pathfinder were both awarded “Best Economic Performance” and “Best All-Around Performance.”

Winning the title of Best Economic Performance, which is determined by purchase and operating expenditure of vehicle possession for the first 6.5 years, the Rogue triumphed over 146 vehicles in the Midsize SUV category while the Pathfinder beat out 127 competitors in the Full-size SUV class. The Best All-Around Performance title is due to Nissan’s “top combined environmental, social and economic attributes.”

The award for “Best 5 All-Around Performance” in the compact class was bestowed upon the Nissan Versa Sedan. Also earning the “Best 5 All-Around Performance” title for the Midsize Cars class is the Nissan Leaf which continues to be a global best-selling 100 percent electric vehicle, having sold 250,000 vehicles across the globe.
