The Nissan Foundation is accepting Letters of Intent for the 2015 grant year

The Nissan Foundation is now accepting applications for the 2015 grant year from nonprofit organizations located in Southern California, North Central Texas, Middle Tennessee, Central Mississippi, Eastern Michigan, and the New York and Atlanta Metro areas.

Groups from the aforementioned areas whose goals align with the Nissan Foundation’s mission of strengthening community and emphasizing diversity can submit a Letter of Intent through the Nissan Foundation Grant Request page by Friday, November 21, 2014.

“The Nissan Foundation is committed to enriching people’s lives in places where Nissan operates,” said Vicki Smith, executive director of the Nissan Foundation. “We want to work with nonprofit partners that are developing innovative, relevant programs – ones that help people to have a greater respect for the benefits that come from living and working together in a diverse society.”

In 2014, Nissan provided $715,000 in grants to 31 nonprofit organizations across the United States, including:

  • $15,000 to The Community House in Birmingham, Michigan
  • $50,000 to Jobs for Mississippi Graduates in Jackson, Mississippi
  • $15,000 to the Japanese American National Museum in Los Angeles, California
  • $50,000 to Oasis Center in Nashville, Tennessee

Grants tend to range between $10,000 and $50,000.
