2016 Australian Motorsports Livery

Nissan vehicles look great in our garages and on the roads, but they look even better when they take the track to blow the competition away. Today the automaker unveiled its latest livery for the 2016 Australian motorsport season, and it’s pretty darn sharp.

The colors of the livery are primarily black, white, and red, and prominently bear the Nissan NISMO brand. Michael Caruso’s Nissan Altima V8 Supercar was shown off sporting the new look, which is a variation of the design race fans will recognize from 2015. The same scheme will also be used on the #1 Nissan GR-R NISMO GT3 that is headed to the Bathurst 12 Hour Race next week.

When Nissan unveiled the new cars, the automaker also discussed the race team in the coming season. A notable addition to the lineup is the 2015 Nissan PlayStation GT Academy winner, Matt Simmons. Mr. Simmons will be added to the NISMO Athlete Global Team crew so that he can prepare for his turn behind the wheel during the 2016 Blancpain GT Endurance Series.

The event was hosted at Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit during Nissan’s full test day to prepare for Bathurst 12 Hour. We wish the team well, and can’t wait to see that new livery zip around the race track.
