Nissan revealed its newest race car, the GT-R LM NISMO, during the #WithDad Super Bowl commercial on Sunday. According to Nissan, we’ll be able to see it in person at the Chicago Auto Show next weekend!

The GT-R LM NISMO is a unique car in its class due to the fact that the engine is front-mid mounted and all the power goes to the front wheels. It’s a front-engined, front-wheel drive car just like your mom’s Maxima. One major difference is the twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 engine and hybrid system that generate somewhere between 1,250 and 1,500 horsepower together.

Le Mans winner, Marc Gene, has been selected to race the car, which will have its inagural race on April 12 at Silverstone UK, followed by Spa in Belgium, the 24 Hours of Le Mans, and Nürburgring in the LM P1 class. Darren Cox, Global Head of Brand, Marketing & Sales at NISMO, said, “LM P1 cars are the most extreme sports cars in racing today so, for Nissan and NISMO, the opportunity to innovate at the highest level could not be missed.”
