Nissan Kicks earns “Best Buy of 2017” title from Brazilian magazine Quatro Rodas

The popularity of the Nissan Kicks in Brazil and Latin America is evident and on the rise. The SUV has secured six coveted awards: “Best SUV of the Year” and “The Best” by Car and Driver magazine in Brazil; “Best SUV of 2017” by FIPA, which stands for Inter-American Federation of Automotive Journalists; “Best Imported SUV” from Top Car TV; “Best Crossover of Latin America; “Best Compact SUV” from L’Auto Preferita in Brazil; and most recently, “Best Buy of 2017” from the Brazilian magazine Quatro Rodas.

Nissan reports that the Kicks 1.6 SV took home the Best Buy prize “because, according to the panel of technical journalists: ‘The Nissan Kicks offers well-balanced features and price. It is one of the most economical vehicles in its category to run and own, and it has one of the cheapest parts and servicing costs under 60 thousand km.’”
According to Nissan, the production of this award-winning and “the brand’s best-selling model in the domestic market” SUV had its start at the Nissan Industrial Complex located in Resende, Rio de Janeiro State, in June. According to Nissan, buyers now have the opportunity to choose from different trim versions of the Kicks that feature new standard amenities, “first-in-segment equipment, and new two-tone body colors.”

Designed with the intent of handling the unique challenges of the “urban jungle,” the Nissan Kicks “is one of the first models to integrate Nissan Intelligent Mobility, a long-term initiative to transform how vehicles are powered, driven and integrated into society. Kicks combines technological innovations with low aerodynamics, lowest in-class weight, and an advanced powertrain combined with the latest generation XTRONIC CVT® transmission,” according to Nissan.
