Nissan Mobile Meat Smoker Goes On A Road Trip
In March, we told you all about the Smokin’ Titan, a new extreme concept truck from Nissan that separated the cab from the truck bed to make the ultimate meat smoking rig perfect for summer. Well, Nissan recently decided to take their smoker on an epic four-city road trip on its way to Pigeon Forge, Tennessee for the Great Titan Meat Up competition (and yes, Nissan totally meant that pun).
Warmer Weather Is Here: Check out what you need to do to get your car ready for spring
From April 21st-24th, the Nissan Smokin’ Titan will head out to its first stop in Denver at Roaming Buffalo BBQ. From there, the truck will go to Kansas City, Missouri, another prime barbeque spot, to park at Q39 BBQ. Salt + Smoke BBQ’s Delmar location in St. Louis is next, followed by Memphis’s Central BBQ.
After hitting all of those locations and seeing what the best in the business has to offer, the Smokin’ Titan will pull up on April 28th to Pigeon Forge, Tennesee for the Great Titan Meat Up. The event is a competition featuring celebrity chefs Cory Bahr and David Rose judging seven teams cooking the best BBQ they know how. One of the teams is headed by Billy Hays, division vice president, Nissan Regional Operations and outdoor enthusiast and other Nissan Executives, and another team is coming to Pigeon Forge from Nissan Canton Plant. The other five teams are from different media organizations. Internet Brands, PickupTrucks.Com, AutoGuide.com, Annie A to Z, and Truck Trend have already chosen their meats and are ready to go.

First of all, the team at The News Wheel is offended that we weren’t asked to compete. A member of our staff has a BBQ expert father and we totally could have kicked the competition’s butts. Maybe we’ll get a shot next year.
